Paul joined Roark in 2020.  Prior to joining Roark, Paul spent fourteen years in investment banking, the vast majority of which at Barclays (formerly Lehman Brothers) where he covered various sectors, including consumer / retail, healthcare, business services, industrials, and technology.  During that time, Paul worked on M&A and financing transactions across much of the Roark portfolio.  Prior to Lehman, Paul was at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in the Consumer Group.

Tim joined Roark in 2015. He is responsible for all key aspects of the private equity investment process, including: investment origination, due diligence, transaction structuring and negotiation, and portfolio company oversight.   He is actively involved in Roark’s investments in Drybar, Great Expressions Dental Centers, and The Cheesecake Factory.  Prior to joining Roark, Tim served as the head of the Retail and Consumer vertical of H.I.G.’s Middle Market Fund where he led its investments in HOA Restaurant Group, TLC Vision, Sightpath Medical and VisionSource. Tim began his private equity career in 1996 when he joined Saunders Karp & Megrue which subsequently merged with Apax Partners. While there, he was a partner in its Retail and Consumer practice and helped lead and manage the investments in Tommy Hilfiger, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Rue 21, Spyder Active Sports, Café Rio and Mimi’s Café, among others. Tim earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University.

Neal founded Roark in 2001. In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Partner, he is most actively involved in Roark's investments in Inspire Brands (owner of Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Rusty Taco, Sonic, and Jimmy John's), Primrose Schools, FOCUS Brands (owner of Schlotzsky's, Carvel, Cinnabon, Moe's Southwest Grill, McAlister's Deli, Auntie Anne's, and Jamba Juice), and Driven Brands (owner of Maaco, Meineke Car Care Centers, Carstar, 1-800-Radiator and Take 5 Oil Change). Prior to founding Roark, Neal was Co-Founder and CFO of U.S. Franchise Systems. Previously, Neal was a Principal of Odyssey Partners, L.P., a Principal and General Partner at Acadia Partners, L.P. (now Oak Hill Partners) and subsequently a Managing Director of a successor company Rosecliff Inc. Neal began his career in the corporate finance department at Drexel, Burnham, Lambert Incorporated. Pritpal joined Roark in 2020. Prior to joining Roark, he was Chief Financial Officer and Advisory Board member at EIG Global Energy Partners, a $24 billion AUM Washington D.C. based global investment firm with seven offices across six continents focused on energy and infrastructure. During his twelve years at EIG, Pritpal established and was responsible for the firm’s global finance, tax, valuation and reporting functions, leading multiple fund and manager level financing transactions. Prior to his time at EIG, Pritpal spent twelve years in the Assurance practice at PwC, formerly in the United Kingdom, of which he is a native and latterly at several offices in the United States. Pritpal received a B.S. in Applied Sciences from the University of Wolverhampton in the U.K. He is a licensed CPA in California (inactive) and a U.K Chartered Certified Accountant.

Chris joined Roark in 2020.  Prior to joining Roark, Chris was a data and analytics consultant with the Outcomes Team of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  He has worked as a contract consultant with project engagements at companies like First Data, Cox Communications and Home Depot.  Chris also worked at a boutique consulting firm where he contributed to the development of the Workforce Analytics platform that would later be acquired by Kronos, where he then worked as a software engineer for several years.

Chris received a M.S. in Operations Research from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Professional Mathematics from North Carolina A&T State University.

Nate joined Roark in 2020. He brings both strategic and operational experience leading businesses and serving clients across functions and industries. Most recently, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Accenture Strategy a $2.5B management consulting business where he was responsible for driving global strategic and operational priorities across the business. He also served as the global client practice leader for the Talent & Organization practice. Prior to that, Nate led Talent Strategy and Leadership Development for all of Accenture globally. He joined Accenture in 2014 and was appointed Senior Managing Director in 2016 and was a member of Accenture’s Global Leadership Council. He joined Accenture from McKinsey & Company, where he spent 9 years and left as a Principal leading the firm’s global client practice on leadership development. He served clients in a variety of industries and on a variety of strategic priorities with an emphasis on achieving transformational change. Before that, Nate served as a human intelligence officer in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed for both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom before being honorably discharged as a Captain in 2004. Nate graduated with distinction and an MBA from the Harvard Business School and with merit and a BS in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy.

Allison joined Roark as Chief People Officer in 2020.  Allison is a Human Resources executive with over twenty years of experience and a successful track record of helping team members reach their potential.  Allison joined Roark from Aptean, a private-equity backed global provider of mission-critical ERP, Supply Chain and Compliance solutions.  At Aptean, she was Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the senior executive team, responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan. In that role, she oversaw, coached and developed thirty HR professionals across five countries and was responsible for HR related M&A activities for multiple carve-outs, add-on acquisitions, and an overall change of ownership.

Previously, she was the Chief People Officer at Jabian Consulting, a management and technology consultancy.  Allison started and spent the majority of her career at Accenture in various strategic and operational HR roles, including Managing Director, Human-Resources - Business Process Outsourcing.

Allison received her B.B.A. in Marketing and International Business from the University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to joining Roark, Ezra was a Managing Director at ACI Capital, a middle market private equity firm, where he played a lead role in all aspects of the firm's investment activities. During his tenure at ACI Capital, the firm completed successful investments in several franchise businesses, including Jenny Craig and Qdoba Restaurants, as well as in other sectors including direct selling and marketing, and business services. He also serves as a Board Trustee for the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation, where he currently serves as Chairman. He previously served on the Board of Directors of FASTSIGNS. Prior to joining Roark, Geoff was the President of Cinnabon, a division of FOCUS Brands. Prior to serving as President of Cinnabon, Geoff had responsibilities for franchise sales, real estate, design & construction, and franchise administration for all of FOCUS Brands. Most recently, he spent thirteen years with The Home Depot, his last role being President & Chief Marketing Officer where he oversaw the strategy, sales, and operations of the company’s digital efforts. In his six years as President the team grew in size / scale from $1B to $8.5B, becoming the 5th largest e-commerce operation in the country. Concurrent with this role he also served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Home Depot, overseeing the strategic branding, marketing and advertising direction of the company. The Home Depot is a top 30 brand with ~$1B in advertising spend.

Previously, he led Home Depot’s Home Services businesses, the largest home services business in the country with $4B in sales & 30,000 in-home construction projects per week. Kevin joined The Home Depot in 2006 as a company officer, where he lead technology teams focused on merchandising, stores, e-commerce, supply chain, and the company's international divisions.

Matt is joining from Old Republic Aerospace where he served as the Chief Information Officer since 2014 leading the IT team and digital transformation for the company and also helping to serve Old Republic International with their innovation initiatives.

He began his career in 1999 where he was the lead web developer for the University of Georgia sports communications department. Matt then spent 10 years with AIG Aerospace, first as an application engineer and then later growing his experience within the project management office as a business analyst and project manager.

As Roark’s Chief Talent Officer, Kelly draws upon extensive executive search, assessment and team and leadership development experience to harness and amplify the impact of Roark’s most critical asset – its people. Kelly partners with firm level and portfolio company leadership to shape and execute talent agendas, initiatives and decisions that support and drive superior business performance and outcomes.  

Before moving into leadership advisory, Kelly spent a number of years in executive search, where her mandate focused exclusively on the private equity arena. She led searches for investment professional and portfolio leadership positions for a range of private equity clients. In parallel, Kelly worked to expand the scope of her client relationships, bringing coordination and focus to more proactively and holistically address the talent needs of private equity firms and portfolio companies. In particular, she worked closely with leadership teams to shape and guide initiatives to drive cultural evolution and operational turnaround in support of positive, sustainable change and improved performance.

Kelly, who is also a trained executive coach, earned her master’s degree in organizational and social psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She holds a bachelor’s degree in technical communication from Clarkson University.

David joined Roark in 2019.  Prior to joining Roark, David was a Managing Director at Robert W. Baird & Co., where he was Co-Head of Baird’s Global Financial Sponsors Group and a member of the firm’s Investment Banking Management Committee. During his twenty-three years at Baird, David was involved in hundreds of M&A and public equity transactions involving private equity firms. He served as Roark’s primary coverage officer and was a lead partner on several of Roark’s investments and exits. Prior to joining Baird in 1995, David spent five years at Coopers & Lybrand, primarily focused on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions advisory assignments. David received a B.S. in Accounting from Valparaiso University.
